ഹിറാ ഗുഹയിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത് നബിﷺ ഏത് വിധത്തിലുള്ള ആരാധനയായിരുന്നു നിർവഹിച്ചിരുന്നത്. വ്യത്യസ്തങ്ങളായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ പണ്ഡിതന്മാർ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മുൻകാല പ്രവാചകൻമാരുടെ ആരാധനാ മുറകളായിരുന്നു എന്നതാണൊരു പക്ഷം. എന്നാൽ ഏത് പ്രവാചകന്റെ മാർഗമായിരുന്നു എന്നവർ നിർണയിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എട്ട് വീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇബ്നുൽ ബുർഹാൻ പറയുന്നത് ആദിപിതാവായ ആദം നബി(അ)യുടെ സരണിയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ്. എല്ലാ നബിമാരുടേയും പിതാവണല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന്. ഇമാം ആമുദി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചത് നൂഹ് നബി(അ)ന്റെ മാർഗമാണെന്നാണ്. ശൈഖുൽ അൻബിയാ എന്ന പദവിയുള്ളവരാണല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന്. ഒരുപറ്റം പണ്ഡിതന്മാർ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടത് ഇബ്റാഹീം നബി(അ)ന്റെ മാർഗം എന്നാണ്. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ഖലീൽ എന്ന പദവിയുള്ള പ്രവാചകനാണല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന്. ഒപ്പം ഇബ്റാഹീമി സരണിയെ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഖുർആൻ സൂക്തം പിന്നീട് അവതരിച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. മൂസാനബി(അ)യുടേത് ഈസാ നബി(അ)യുടേത് എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ് നാലാമത്തേയും അഞ്ചാമത്തേയും അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ. ക്രമപ്രകാരം കലീമുല്ലാഹ്, റൂഹുള്ളാഹ് എന്നീ പദവികൾ ഉള്ളവരാണല്ലോ അവർ. മുൻകാല പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ ആരാധനാമുറകളിൽ നിന്ന് പലതും ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നതാണ് മറ്റൊരു നിരീക്ഷണം. നബിﷺക്ക് സ്വതന്ത്രമായിത്തന്നെ ആരാധനാമുറകൾ അല്ലാഹു അധ്യാത്മികമായി നൽകുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് അടുത്ത പക്ഷം. അവസാനത്തെ വീക്ഷണത്തെ പരിഗണിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഇമാം ഇബ്നുഹജർ(റ) പറയുന്നതി പ്രകാരമാണ്. "തിരുനബിﷺക്ക് അക്കാലത്തും സവിശേഷമായ ചില അധ്യാത്മിക നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. അത് പ്രകാരമാണ് അവിടുന്ന് ആരാധനകൾ നിർവഹിച്ചിരുന്നത്."
അക്കാലത്തെ പ്രധാന ആരാധന ചിന്തയും മനനവും ആയിരുന്നു. അഥവാ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ആലോചനയും അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തെ കുറിച്ചുളള വിചാരങ്ങളുമായിരുന്നു. ഈയൊരു കാലയളവിനെ ആത്മീയ മുറകൾ(രിയാള:) ചെയ്തു തീർക്കാനുള്ള തപസ്സ്(ഖൽവത്) കാലമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചവരുണ്ട്. ജീവിത വ്യവഹാരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നൊഴിഞ്ഞ് നിന്ന് ചിന്താധ്യാന (തഫക്കുർ) ത്തിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞു കൂടിയ കാലം എന്ന് സാരം.
ഹിറയിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന കാലം നാൾക്കുനാൾ മുത്ത് നബിﷺക്ക് വ്യത്യസ്തങ്ങളായ ആത്മീയ അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഒരു സന്ദർഭം ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു. അംറ്ബിൻ ശുറഹബീൽ പറയുന്നു, മുത്ത് നബിﷺ പ്രിയ പത്നി ഖദീജ(റ) യോട് പറഞ്ഞു. ഖദീജാ.. ഞാൻ ഒറ്റക്കാകുമ്പോൾ പ്രത്യേകതരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രകാശരേണുക്കൾ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടും. ചില സംസാരങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കും.. "അല്ലയോ മുഹമ്മദ്ﷺ... ഞാൻ ജിബ്‌രീലാകുന്നു.." എന്ന്.
എന്താണ് ഖദീജാ ഇത്. എനിക്കെന്തോ സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ. ഖദീജ(റ) പറയും. അവിടുന്ന് ഒന്നും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല. അവിടുത്തേക്ക് നല്ലതല്ലാത്തതൊന്നും സംഭവിക്കുകയില്ല. അൽപം കഴിഞ്ഞ് അബൂബക്കർ(റ) അവിടേക്കു കടന്നുവന്നു. ഖദീജ(റ) വിവരങ്ങൾ അബൂബക്കർ(റ)നെ അറിയിച്ചു. മഹാനവർകൾ പറഞ്ഞു, നിങ്ങൾ വറഖത് ബിൻ നൗഫലിനെ സമീപിച്ചു വിഷയമൊന്ന് ധരിപ്പിക്കൂ. അദ്ദേഹം വലിയ വേദജ്ഞാനിയാണല്ലോ. തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം മുത്ത് നബിﷺയേയും കൂട്ടി വറഖത്തിനെ സമീപിച്ചു. കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം വിശദമായി അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ ജിബ്‌രീലാണ് എന്ന ശബ്ദ സന്ദേശത്തെ കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ വറഖ പറഞ്ഞു.. സുബ്ബൂഹുൻ.. സുബ്ബൂഹുൻ.. വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.. വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്ത് ജിബ്രീൽ(അ) പറയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ! അല്ലാഹുവിനും തിരുദൂതർക്കുമിടയിൽ ദൗത്യം എത്തിച്ചു നൽകുന്ന മലക്ക് ജിബ്‌രീലാണ് മോനേ അത്, ആശങ്കപ്പെടാനൊന്നുമില്ല.
മറ്റൊരിക്കൽ രാത്രിയിൽ ഒറ്റക്കു നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അതാ ഒരു ശബ്ദം. 'അസ്സലാം'... വേഗം വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോയി. ബീവി ഖദീജയോട് കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞു. മഹതിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു. അസ്സലാം എന്നത് ശാന്തിയുടെ സന്ദേശമാണല്ലോ നല്ലതേ സംഭവിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ ഒന്നും വ്യാകുലപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല.
പിന്നീടൊരിക്കൽ വറഖയോട് പുതിയ അനുഭവങ്ങൾ പങ്കുവെച്ചു. അപ്പോഴദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. സന്തോഷിക്കൂ.. മോനേ സന്തോഷിക്കൂ.. മർയമിന്റെ മകൻ ഈസാ പ്രവാചക(അ)നെ സമീപിച്ച നാമൂസ് തന്നെയാണ് മോനെയും പിൻതുടരുന്നത്....

What kind of worship did the Prophetﷺ perform during his stay in the cave of Hira? Scholars have recorded different opinions. One is that it was the worship of previous prophets. But they have not defined which prophet's way. Eight views have been mentioned here. Ibnul Burhan says that it was the line of the forefather Prophet Adam(A). He is the father of all prophets. Imam Amudi observed that it was the way of Prophet Nuh(A). As he has the title of "Shaykhul Anbiya". Another view that It was the way of Prophet Ibrahim(A). He is a prophet with the title of "Khalil of Allah". And the Qur'anic verse suggesting 'Ibraheemi path' has been revealed later. The fourth and fifth opinions are that of Prophet Moses(A) and that of Prophet Jesus (A). They have the titles "Kalimullah" and "Ruhullah" respectively. Another observation is that it was a compilation of the modes of worship of the previous prophets. The next view is that the Prophetﷺ was given special spiritual modes by the Almighty Allah. Considering the aforesaid last point of view, Imam Ibn Hajar(RA) says the Prophetﷺ received some special spiritual directions from the Omniscient Allah and followed them.
The main worship at that time was thought and contemplation. Or thinking about the signs of Allah and His greatness. There are those who presented this period as a period of penance (Khalwat) to complete spiritual rituals (Riyala:). In other words, it is a time spent in contemplation (Tafakur) staying away from the worldly affairs of life. During his stay in the Cave of Hira, the Prophetﷺ was having different spiritual experiences day by day. One occasion was like this. Amr bin Shurahbil says. The Prophetﷺ said to his beloved wife Khadija(RA). When I am alone, special rays of light appear before me, and I would hear some sounds saying, 'I am Jibreel..." Khadeeja what is this .... I fear something is going to happen. Khadija(RA) would say "Nothing to fear. Nothing harmful will happen to you".
After a while, Abu Bakar(RA) came there. Khadeeja(RA) informed Abu Bakar(RA)about the incident. He said 'You approach Waraqat bin Nawfal and discuss the matter. He is a great scholar of the scriptures'. Then Abu Bakar(RA) approached Waraqat along with the Prophet ﷺ. He told him everything in detail. When told about the voice refering to the name "I am Jibreel", Waraqah said.. Subbuhun.. Subbuhun. The name "Gibreel"(A) is said in this land of idolators !!. It is Gibril, the archangel who conveys the mission between Allah and His Messenger. There is nothing to worry about...
Another time when the Prophet was walking alone at night, there was a voice. 'Assalam'... quickly went home. Told wife Khadeeja(RA) about the experience. The response was like this. "Assalam" is a message of peace, only good things will happen, nothing to worry about.
Later, he shared his new experiences with Waraqa. Then he said, "Be happy, my son, be happy... It is "Namus", who came to 'Isa'(A), the son of Mary, is also following you."
